Courses in radiation safety and programs devoted to this subject are essential for anyone who wants to work with or may come in contact with any radioactive substance. It's common for people working with HAZMAT and people working in scientific fields to need radiation safety training. Radioactive material is dangerous and should only be handled by trained professionals, as overexposure to it can lead to cancer and other health hazards.
