We invited DOLE OFFICIALS and Accredited Practitioners to lecture and speak at our upcoming event: “RETHINKing Occupational Safety and Health: Post COVID-19 Crisis” on Wednesday, July 28 2021. (** DOLE- Department of Labor and Employment, MNL PH)


Let us get to know them. Here they are:


Ma. Teresita S. Cucueco, MD, MOH, FPCOM, CESO III – Speaker for DO 224-21: GUIDELINES ON VENTILATION ON WORKPLACES AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

-         Assistant Secretary of Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), concurrently the Director of Bureau of Working Conditions (BWC).

-         Served in the government with significant number of years in the field of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), in fact prior to her appointment in BWC, she was the Executive Director of Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC) and she was with the agency for 29 years.

-         A product of University of the Philippines (UP) system, where she finished her pre-med course in Biology, and her Masterals Degree in Occupational Health from the UP College of Public Health.

-         She finished her Doctor of Medicine from the De La Salle - Emilio Aguinaldo College, College of Medicine.

-         She obtained her Postgraduate studies from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, USA.

-         A Career Executive Service Officer III (CESO III)


ENGR. Jose Batino – Speaker for DOLE COVID-19 Regulatory REQUIREMENTS

-         He is now the Deputy Executive Director of Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC), but currently deployed at the Department of Labor and Employment – National Capital Region (DOLE – NCR), Quezon City Satellite Office.

-         A product of University of the Philippines – Diliman (UP Diliman) from his Bachelor of Civil Engineer degree up to his Masters degree in Business Administration and up to his Doctor of Public Health.

-         He has substantial number of years of experience in the field of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), and general labor standard, through his different work assignments in the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) – from different DOLE Regional Offices, Bureau of Working Conditions (BWC), and Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC).

-         He authored technical papers which he likewise presented in different foras and conventions, both local and abroad.

-         Represented the country in different prestigious events, international conventions, and trainings focusing in OSH and other labor-related topics.

-         A Licensed Civil Engineer and a Career Service Executive Officer IV (CESO IV)


Engr. Nomer A Reynaldo - Speaker for CONSTRUCTION Best Practices


He is an accredited OSH consultant with DOLE Philippines and has 27 years of experience with such including construction, petroleum and power industry. he speaks continually in various conventions and safety assemblies, such as the DOLE's National OSH Congress, GLOW Conferences, ASPP I conventions.  He currently  represents ASPP Ito the Asia Pacific Occupat ional Safety & Health Organi1zation (APOSHO ) as Head Delegate. He is the current V ice Chairman of DTl-DOLE TC-56 on PPE standard ization and was a member of the TWG Panel that worked w·ith the Tripartite Executive Council for the drafting of D.O. 198-18 or the IRR of RA 11058.He is also the current National Chairman of the Board of Trustees Association of Safety Practicioners of the Philippines, Inc. 


Arlene Jacinto - Speaker for MANUFACTURING Best Practices

Arlene is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, an Occupational Safety and Health Practitioner and a Fire Safety Practitioner.

 

She is an Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) leader for almost 9 years in her 30 years of experience in Manufacturing Industry. She always stands out as a Safety Leader in every safety program and even received several awards. She authored a COSH Training Manual for a Safety Training Institution and also several safety training modules related to safety.

She is currently the Senior Safety Manager of Nexperia Philippines. Inc located in Cabuyao Laguna.


Dr. Abitim Atienza - Speaker for COVID-19 VACCINES MYTHS and FACTS


He is an alumnus of the University of Santo Tomas and obtained his pre-medical degree of BS Nursing as well as Doctor of Medicine in the same institution. He Trained and graduated under the  DOH - Philippine Center for Specialized Health Care and was exposed to different specialized hospitals in the Philippines. He is a registered nurse and a physician with license to practice in UK as well. He is active in volunteer work as he has been a Medical Missions Coordinator in various medical and surgical missions during the pre-pandemic times. Being certified with Good Clinical Practice by the CTN, He is also active in the field of research. Currently, he is focusing on his work as an occupational health physician trained under the Philippine College of Occupational Medicine.
