Safety Presentation Topics

There are a number of safety presentation topics to help you develop and run a safety management program. Use OSHA's list of safety and health topics to create presentations specific to your business needs.

Personal Protective Equipment

Gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective clothing and hard hats are common types of personal protective equipment (PPE) in the workplace. In this presentation, teach employees when and how PPE is used, based on the particular hazards of your organization.

Hazard Communication

This topic covers how to safely use and store chemicals and other hazardous materials. Explain the meaning of warning signs and tags. Describe how Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) provide information about PPE, storage, and handling procedures for hazardous materials.

Electrical Safety

Address the OSHA compliance requirements for electrical safety. Cover how to safely work with electricity, wiring, tools and electrical equipment. Include how to avoid electrical shock, the special hazards around overhead power lines and the importance of de-energizing all equipment before work on them begins.

Fire Prevention

Teach the basic rules for fire prevention and fire extinguisher use. Explain the facility’s evacuation plan, including the location of fire and emergency exits and how to use the alarm system.

Slips, Trips and Falls
