Plant Safety Rules
General plant safety rules can keep all workers and visitors safe from harm. Specific rules may have to be set in place to accommodate the individual needs of certain factories. Personal Plant Safety Rules Keep yourself safe by keeping hair pulled back. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Wear protective gear, including goggles, hard hats, ear plugs, gloves, masks and outerwear. Never smoke inside. Always walk rather than running and avoid horseplay. Do not use alcohol or drugs on the job. Immediately report any injuries or suspected dangers. Learn all of your plant's safety rules, including proper use of any equipment or chemicals. Training Regularly train personnel in plant safety rules. Regularly monitor their enforcement and review rules with employees. Routinely check for dangers in the workplace. Be trained in first aid. Plant Safety Rules for Equipment Employees should be trained on proper use of equipment. Equipment should be used solely for its intended purpose. Plant Safety Rules for the Workplace Post safety rules and warning signs where they are visible. Barricade unsafe areas, including overhead work and open holes in the floor.
